Jan Peterson is an experienced trial lawyer with numerous verdicts in both state and federal courts. Jan is a graduate of Pasco High School and was inducted in their Hall of Fame in 2003. He received his undergraduate education at Stanford University and his law degree from the University of Washington in 1969.
He is past president of the Washington State Bar Association and past president of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). He is a fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been a Washington State delegate to the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He is past president of the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, past president and a charter member of the Damage Attorneys Round Table of Washington, past board member of the Legal Foundation of Washington and Board of Judicial Administration, and a past member of the Supreme Courts Joint Task Force on Attorney Discipline.
He received the 1999 Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and in Outstanding Lawyers of America. Jan is a dedicated plaintiffs' advocate in personal injury, products liability and medical negligence cases. Jan is consistently ranked as one of Washington's “Super Lawyers®” and “Top 100 “Super Lawyers®”, as well as one of the “Top 10 "Super Lawyers®” by Washington Law & Politics magazine. He was also honored as the “Top Vote-Getter for Personal Injury Super Lawyers®” in the WL&P survey. Jan is a founding partner at PWRFL.
